Egypt is a unique destination and as such tips are already taken care of and priced in to your tour of Egypt for:
baggage handling at airports and hotels,
waitstaff for
included meals,
local sightseeing guides and attractions
staff, and bus and airport representatives/assistants.
Please consider tipping the following (using these customary guidelines) to show appreciation for excellent service:
Tour Manager: To express appreciation for your Tour Manager’s delivery of excellent service, it is customary to tip 5-8 US Dollars (or equivalent in local currency) per person for each travel day. (When to tip: at the end of your tour.)
Transfer Drivers for Arrivals and Departures: to express appreciation for your transfer driver, it is customary to tip 3 US Dollars (or equivalent in local currency) per person. (When to tip: at the end of your transfer time with your driver.)
On-Tour Motor Coach Driver: To express your appreciation for a job well done, it is customary to tip 5 US Dollars (or equivalent in local currency) per person for each travel day. (When to tip: at the end of your tour or time with your driver.)
Cruise Personnel: 8 US Dollars (or equivalent in local currency) per person for each day for the entire cruise staff. This is evenly divided by all crew members. It is best to make a single payment at the front desk at the end of your voyage.
Hotel Housekeeping: It is common for travelers to leave a gratuity of $1 per day, per room for hotel housekeeping staff. (When to tip: each day before leaving for your touring)
Public restrooms have attendants who provide toilet paper and/or hand towels. Suggested tipping is the equivalent of 0.25 cents per person in local currency.
We will be departing out of DFW airport.
Most international flights depart in the afternoon or early evening.
Depending on the flight
there will be one or two stops.
Return flights usually depart in the early to mid morning and arrive
at DFW late evening the same day (because of the time change). Total
flight time is around 17-19 hours including the stops.
Since we are traveling out of the USA a passport and Visa are required. The passport expiration date should be at least valid for at least 6 months following the trip. Collette Tours will provide the documents needed for the Visa and secure the Visa for you. Visa cost is $25.00
There is currently no charge for International luggage. The maximum weight for a suitcase is 50 lbs. A personal item and a carry-on are included with your airfare.The carry-on is limited to 15 lbs. No liquids over 3 oz and no sharp objects in the carry-on. It is best to take a small personal item that will fit under the seat. Carry medicine, hygiene items, snacks, computer tablet and any item you might need if your luggage was misplaced.

Do not carry your passport in your carry-on or checked luggage.
